Continue Exploring for Gifts that Create Memories

Keep It Local, by Barbara Lawrence – April 18, 2012
There are so many great stores, and hundreds of items to choose from, so I encourage you to visit and shop for that 'one of a kind' item.  This list is not complete in every category.  Help me continue to add to our online collection of information within the Catawba River District area.

Women's Clothing and Accessories

GiGi's Boutique at 24 N. Main St. in Belmont has a collection of charms made locally by the organization Believe in Abilities.   A corner is devoted to little girls.

Jolie Boutique started with the Belmont location at 4 N. Main Street in the old Belmont train depot and recently opened a second location in Mount Holly at 111 W. Central Ave.
A great collection of sundresses and jeans are available also at Jolie Boutique.

Gifts for Outdoors and Much More

Time Flies Country Store at 111 N. Main St. in Mount Holly, has added some great outdoors items.  In between the garden flags and the pottery, be sure to check out the lotions made in NC.

The Time Flies tree art is available for a variety of sports fans for outdoor fun.

Southern Roots Garden Center between Mount Holly and Belmont at 505 Belmont Mount Holly Road is one of several garden and farm supply stops for a beautiful plant gift, or something for your own home or yard.  Newsletters, as well as other information is available on their website.

Belmont General Store in downtown Belmont at 6 N. Main St. provides a step back in time to find those hard to find items.

Top your visit off with NC ice cream at the fountain both in Belmont and Mount Holly.
The Belmont General Store Ice Cream Bar

I hope this blog continues to give you a taste of the shopping exploration available in the Catawba River District.  There is no way to do justice to the variety that exists in each store.
