Home Grown Gaston – Good Food for a Great Cause

Sustainable Healthy Living, by Sheila Mullen – May 12
We have been talking about how to create sustainable health. There is no better way to support sustainable health than supporting our very own community that is celebrating, showcasing and honoring local chefs, using local food, and supporting a local cause. That, my friends, is a great start to a healthy sustainable community. 100% of the proceeds go to The Shelter of Gaston County. Don't delay, get your tickets today!

Home Grown Gaston
The Gaston County branch of the NC Cooperative Extension presents the 2nd Annual Home Grown Gaston, 5-8 p.m. on May 22 at the Gaston Farmers Market.

Come to the Market, at 410 E. Long Ave., to enjoy delicious entrees prepared by local chefs who will showcase locally grown foods! The event will feature live music, raffle prizes and lots of fun! You’ll also have the chance to talk with local farmers and chefs. Chef entrees will be served at 6 p.m.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Shelter of Gaston County, a battered women’s residence and resource center.

TICKETS - $35 per person. Must be bought in advance.
