Forum participants will have the opportunity to learn, collaborate
and strategize together on ways to weave The Thread throughout our communities.
Many sessions are available for
continuing education credits-all at no charge. Sessions cover designing trailheads, land
acquisition, economic development, federal funding, social media and trails and
developing successful volunteer models.
The forum starts at 8:30 am and ends at 4:15 PM. Lunch is included. The lunchtime guest speaker is Mayor Knox
White from Greenville, SC.

West Branch Nature Preserve Trail, 18229

About Alice Battle – Alice lives
on Mountain Island Lake has served on numerous groups devoted to protecting the
lake, including the Duke Energy Relicensing stakeholders group. She currently
is Lakekeeper for the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation.
